Location: Analyst is expected to perform their duties at this location: Chantilly, VA.

Working remote/telecommuting may be approved upon request to the management team.

Amount of Travel: On an as needed basis.

Position Status: Full-time

Classification: Salary Exempt

Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time). Based on on-call rotational needs, varying regular shifts may be required.    

Additional Work Shift Demands: The duties will include participation in the analyst on-call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency support to clients. Individuals reserve the option to telework while participating in the on-call rotation subject to the Subsentio Employee Handbook policies.

Position Summary:

Analyst will report to the Supervisor of Record Management Services; Work with the analyst team to review, analyze, and fulfill legal requests served on Subsentio’s clients (which include a variety of Communication Service Providers); Analyze client records for accuracy and authenticity; Assist with Digital Millennium Copyright Act infringement claim processing; Interact with technical team, law enforcement, civil parties and others as needed; Provide 24×7 on-call support on a rotating basis with other analysts; Assist with training of newly hired analysts; Provide testimony as a fact witness at trial appearances; Participate in special projects and assignments as needed. Analyst will be in a position to handle life threatening calls/cases and must be able to respond immediately when needed.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages queue of casework to ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Consults directly with law enforcement, attorneys, and client subscribers in conjunction with legal process.
  • Responds to life/death emergency calls from authorized government agencies nationwide. 
  • Reviews Criminal and Civil legal requests for validity and provides accurate and detailed responses according to State and Federal Code as well as client guidelines.
  • Participates in requirements documentation and User Acceptance Testing for Subsentio’s proprietary case management platform as needed.
  • Interacts with and provides guidance to both customers and requesting parties in association with record production responses and retention.
  • Supports Lawfully Authorized Electronic Surveillance team with historical records requests.
  • Documents actions taken with regards to each individual lawful request received and processed.
  • Conducts review of noted citations in legal process for validity and periodically provides the team with summarized updates as needed.
  • Handle cases that may involve child exploitation, suicide and others that can be disturbing.
  • Testifying in court as needed to support validity of records.
  • Using discretion with highly sensitive information.
  • Build relationships with customers and law enforcement.
  • Work with manual and automated tools to compile requested information.
  • Participates in a 24/7 emergency on-call support role on a rotating basis with the analyst team.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Individual must be 18 years of age, a U.S. Citizen, and is subject to passing a background check and drug screening. Confidentiality agreement required upon hire.

 

Education and/or Work Experience

  • College degree is required
  • Paralegal certification is preferred
  • Previous experience in a legal compliance role or telecommunications network solutions role is a plus
  • Understanding of metadata (call, text, IP logs) records for various carriers is desired.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations with positive energy and enthusiasm
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple cases
  • Team player
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are mandatory
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
